This is a rare chance for a Full Stack specialist to solve complex, real-world problems using a diverse tech stack including .NET, Java, or Python alongside advanced GIS tools. You will join an elite, collaborative team where you’ll help high-profile clients unlock the power of location-based data through modern cloud architectures on AWS and Azure.

The Role

  • Lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale geospatial solutions, building robust software, infrastructure, and automated deployment pipelines.
  • Partner closely with multi-disciplinary teams across User-Centred Design, Data Science, and Delivery Management to create user-focused digital services.
  • Harness open-source geospatial technologies like Leaflet, OpenLayers, and GeoServer to drive spatial analysis and data-driven decision making.
  • Navigate diverse technical landscapes, choosing the right tools for the job across .NET, Java, Node.js, and Python environments.
  • Present prototypes and technical roadmaps to high-profile stakeholders, translating complex spatial data into actionable insights.

What You'll Need

  • 3+ years of professional experience in Full Stack Engineering with a deep understanding of architectural patterns like Microservices and Serverless.
  • Expert-level development skills in at least one backend language (.NET, Java, or Python) and proficiency with modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with GIS systems and geospatial data tools such as PostGIS, QGIS, GeoServer, or Leaflet.
  • Proven track record of delivering scalable cloud native solutions on AWS or Azure within an Agile (Scrum/Kanban/TDD) framework.
  • A consultancy-first mindset with the ability to adapt to new technologies and advocate for the Digital Service Standard.

What's On Offer

  • Competitive salary (£60,000 - £90,000) with a focus on career progression and skill diversification.
  • Remote-friendly working environment that prioritizes collaboration and work-life balance.
  • Opportunity to work on high-profile, greenfield projects that have a genuine impact on society and the public sector.
  • Access to an incredible community of experts across Software Engineering, Data Science, and Design.
