Guardium-Polar’s agentless solution automatically discovers resources across a wide range of platforms and technologies, including cloud services, SaaS applications, AI pipelines, multi-cloud environments, and on-premises systems. It identifies sensitive data, maps both potential and actual data flows, and detects security threats.

The Polar Engineering Group leads the innovation of DSPM and AI Security, embedding these core technologies into IBM Security’s Guardium data security offerings.

We are seeking a skilled software developer to join our IBM Software team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions while working with diverse technologies and programming languages.

Your Role And Responsibilities

Join a team building next-generation data security solutions. As a senior member of the engineering team, you will drive the architecture and development of scalable, high-impact cloud services, leverage AI-driven technologies to modernize platforms, and help protect sensitive data across modern and GenAI-powered environments.

What You’ll Do

• - Own end-to-end application development, from product requirements and architecture through implementation, deployment, and monitoring.
• - Partner with stakeholders to identify and drive automation opportunities.
• - Apply modern, cutting-edge technologies, including AI tools, to enhance and modernize applications.
• - Help customers address complex data security challenges, particularly in GenAI environments.
• - Develop clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while utilizing best practices approach.
• - Investigate complex issues, assess alternatives, and implement optimal solutions.
• - Ensure software quality, performance, and compliance with business and technical requirements.
• - Deliver production-ready code while proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks.

Bachelor's Degree

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

• Several years of back-end development experience with a strong passion for software engineering and high-quality code -must
• Few years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or IBM Cloud -must
• Experience developing enterprise-grade systems with a focus on scalability and performance - must
• Few years of experience working with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift -must
• Experience designing and developing SaaS platforms -must
• Hands-on experience with AI and GenAI technologies (e.g., AWS Bedrock, Azure AI).
• Experience using AI-powered development tools as part of the development lifecycle -must
• Hands-on experience developing and deploying solutions in on-premises environments.
• Experience working with microservices architecture and cloud-native services - must
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins and Git - must
• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB -must
• Excellent communication skills, ability to work independently, and strong collaboration skills -must

Bachelor's degree in computer science (or equivalent) or relevant experience from a military technology unit.
