Programmer/Analyst – SQL & ETL

Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Programmer/Analyst with strong SQL and ETL development expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in application development and support, with a focus on MS SQL Server and SSIS-based ETL processes. This role also requires hands-on experience in production support, ensuring the reliability and performance of critical financial applications.

Key Responsibilities

· Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects

· Build and optimize ETL workflows using SSIS to support data integration and transformation

· Monitor and support production jobs, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution

· Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions

· Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures for recurring issues

· Participate in performance tuning and optimization of database systems

· Document technical processes and maintain system knowledge base

Required Qualifications

· 5+ years of experience in application development and support

· Proficiency in MS SQL Server, including T-SQL, performance tuning, and query optimization

· 3+ years of hands-on experience with ETL development using SSIS

· 2+ years experience with C#

· 1+ year experience in VB.net

· 1+ year of Python

· Batch and Groovy Scripting

· Knowledge of AWS

· Strong understanding of relational database design and data modeling

· Experience in production support, including incident management and job monitoring

· Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent professional experience.

· Experience with scheduling tools (e.g., Zena, Control-M, or similar)

· Familiarity with version control systems like GitHub

· Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS or Azure)

· Knowledge of ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools
