We're a Sydney-built AI company. We automate the parts of the sales pipeline that eat your week, things like research, list build, sequencing, follow-up, and qualification, so sellers can spend their time selling.
We're not a strategy consultancy. We take sales motions that already work and amplify them with AI.
This role is our first dedicated vertical hire. You'll set the bar working alongside our Founder and GTM Specialist.
Why this role
Australian financial services is the right beachhead for Lineer. It's a hunter culture, the buyer pain is acute, and the market is concentrated and reachable. Australia is heading for a 312,000-person tech and sales skills shortfall by 2030, and finance teams are under pressure to grow pipeline without growing headcount.
The pitch is sharp. Lineer can give a finance firm a top-quartile BDM's output in 30 days for the cost of a tool. Your job is to land it with the right buyers.
Who we're hiring
We're hiring someone from inside the industry. The single most important thing you bring to this role is a network. You already know the sales leaders, RevOps, Sales Enablement, VP Sales, and CROs at mid-market AU FS firms (20 to 250 FTE) because you've worked alongside them, sold to them, or sat at the same conferences for years. We're not training you on the buyer. You already know the buyer.
The profiles that fit:
- Commercial insurance broker ready to move from carrying their own book to selling a tool the whole industry needs
- Business or commercial loan broker with a live network across aggregators and lenders
- Commercial mortgage broker with strong relationships across the aggregator and broker network
- Commercial relationship banker or branch/regional sales manager at a major or regional bank
- BDM or AE at a lending fintech, an acquirer (Tyro, Fiserv), or a Xero, Intuit, or MYOB partner channel
- Mid-tier consultant or sales-tech AE with FS accounts
Who you'll sell to
Five Tier 1 FS segments:
- Commercial insurance brokers
- Mortgage and commercial finance brokers
- SME and non-bank commercial lenders
- Asset and equipment finance, including lender BDMs and CAFBA-style aggregators
- Invoice and trade finance specialists
What you'll actually do
Own the FS number. Carry quota against our FS MRR target, forecast weekly, and run a clean stage-gated process.
Run the four elevator pitches. We land deals on one of four angles: AI Seller (replace cold outreach grunt work), ROI (top-quartile BDM in 30 days for the cost of a tool), Workforce (close the skills gap without headcount), and Revenue (more pipeline per rep). You'll learn which lands where.
Work your network. Your warm contacts are the engine of this role. Alongside that, we have referral introductions, strategic and channel partners across the broker and sales-tech ecosystem, and a customer referral program where any intro that lands as a sale earns the introducer up to 1,000 free Lineer-generated contacts.
Productise the playbook. Publish a 30-day-to-start, 60-day-to-ROI motion specific to FS that future vertical hires can copy.
Stay close to the product. Feed real buyer objections back to the Founder and product team every week. The roadmap will move because of you.
What else we care about
- Five years carrying a quota or a personal book in Sydney, with stage-gated rigour.
- Comfort selling a category-defining product to buyers who haven't bought "AI sales automation" before.
- Genuine excitement about AI.
- An owner mindset. You write your own sequences, build your own decks, and tell us when something isn't working.
