Senior Software Engineer

We are partnered with an established organisation to look for a passionate Software Engineer to help design and scale platforms impacting infrastructure and resource planning.

Responsibilities:

• Translate complex institutional planning objectives and user feedback into highly robust technical specifications and software architectures.
• Integrate advanced mapping capabilities and intelligent location insights into core enterprise workflow tools to elevate decision-making capabilities.
• Design, build, and maintain highly scalable internal APIs and data standards ensuring uniform, accessible geographic data layers (such as distance, connectivity, and travel-time metrics).
• Develop and optimize complex spatial modeling and predictive forecasting engines driven by diverse datasets, including urban growth, citizen demographics, and transit networks.
• (For Senior Hires) Act as a technical pillar for the engineering team, driving modern development standards and mentoring junior engineers to upscale their craft.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a closely related technical domain.
• At least 6 years of hands-on experience developing, deploying, and maintaining production-grade software applications at scale.
• Demonstrated experience working with GIS software, geographic APIs, spatial data formats, routing engines, or interactive 2D/3D visualization technologies.
• Familiarity with modern cloud ecosystems (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and an understanding of scalable software or data architecture.
• Proven ability or comfort handling highly complex, multi-source datasets (e.g., demographic data, transport infrastructure networks, or land-use maps).
