SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
Syntiant is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Sr. Software FAE to lead customer-facing engineering efforts and drive the successful deployment and adoption of Syntiant’s Physical AI solutions.
In this critical role, you will serve as the primary technical bridge between customers, sales teams, and internal engineering, enabling seamless system integration and accelerating design-in and design-win activities. You will play a key leadership role in advancing Physical AI system integration across customer platforms, while ensuring high-quality delivery from development through mass production.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive customer-oriented design-in and design-win activities for Syntiant NDP solutions across embedded and x86 platforms
Enable, integrate, and optimize Syntiant Physical AI audio and vision solutions on customer systems
Utilize Python, C/C++, and Syntiant SDK to drive cross-platform system integration across embedded and host environments (Linux, Windows, RTOS, Android), including integration across driver, middleware, and application layers, as well as model deployment, debugging, and performance optimization
Serve as the technical interface between customers, sales, and headquarters (Engineering, Product Marketing)
Manage and resolve technical issues, supporting projects from development to mass production
Develop application notes, FAQs, and training materials, and deliver customer training sessions
Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers and field teams
QUALIFICATIONS
B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
8+ years of experience in embedded systems, x86 platforms, FAE, or edge AI applications, with strong hands-on development expertise
Proven track record in design-in and customer-facing engineering projects, driving successful product integration and deployment
Strong proficiency in Python and C/C++, with solid experience in Linux environments and x86/Windows driver development
Deep hands-on experience in system integration and debugging, enabling seamless integration of Syntiant Neural Decision Processors (NDPs) into customer-selected SoC platforms
Solid understanding of ARM Cortex-M, x86 architectures, MCUs, RTOS, and low-level system debugging
Familiarity with hardware/software interfacing and peripheral integration, including PDM, SPI, USB, PCM (I2S), MIPI, DVP, and I2C
Demonstrated ability to optimize system performance across diverse system platforms, including embedded and host environments
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently drive technical issues from root cause analysis through resolution
Strong English communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with global teams and customer engineering groups
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in audio processing, always-on systems, or vision AI applications
- Familiarity with edge AI architecture and deployment
- Experience with AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow, including model training, optimization, and deployment to edge devices
