Software Engineer (TimescaleDB) at BairesDev

As a Software Engineer specializing in TimescaleDB, you will design and develop high-performance time-series data solutions on top of PostgreSQL. You will be responsible for ensuring the scalability and efficiency of database architectures that handle high-ingestion IoT and monitoring workloads.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement scalable time-series database schemas using TimescaleDB and PostgreSQL.
• Optimize database performance for high-volume data ingestion and complex analytical queries.
• Manage and maintain time-series data lifecycle, including compression and retention policies.
• Develop and tune SQL queries to provide real-time insights from large-scale datasets.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate time-series solutions into monitoring and IoT platforms.
• Ensure data integrity and high availability of database clusters in production environments.

What We Are Looking For

• 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or Database Administration.
• Proven expertise in building and managing time-series data solutions using TimescaleDB.
• Advanced proficiency in PostgreSQL and optimizing database performance for high-ingestion workloads.
• Hands-on experience with IoT or monitoring data architectures.
• Strong understanding of time-series data modeling and lifecycle management.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
