You’ll be trusted to work in the detail, designing, configuring, troubleshooting and improving ITOM across complex, cloud‑heavy environments. Your work will directly influence data quality, operational visibility and technology resilience across the organisation.
If you enjoy solving ambiguous problems, and owning outcomes end‑to‑end, this role will suit you well. You’ll join a supportive, specialist technology team where each role in the team has a clear area of ownership, and this role is relied upon for deep technical expertise. You’ll work closely with ServiceNow developers, infrastructure and cloud teams, and managed service partners. There is also opportunity over time to broaden your exposure across ServiceNow beyond ITOM.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design, configure and support ServiceNow ITOM modules including Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management and CMDB
- Take ownership of CMDB data quality, accuracy and governance, ensuring it becomes a trusted source of truth
- Diagnose and resolve discovery, integration and data issues
- Configure and manage MID Servers, integrations, workflows and automation
- Partner closely with infrastructure, cloud, security and application teams to onboard services and improve dependency visibility
- Drive continuous improvement of ITOM capability, performance and coverage
- Produce clear technical documentation and contribute to platform standards and best practice
- Strong experience working in the ServiceNow platform, with a clear focus on ITOM
- Practical experience across CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping and Event Management
- A background in infrastructure and cloud environments (Windows, Linux, networking, AWS/GCP or similar)
- Experience with JavaScript, REST APIs, MID Servers and integrations
- A troubleshooting mindset, comfortable working through incomplete or unreliable data
- Confidence engaging and influencing technical stakeholders
- The ability to work independently and own a specialist capability
- Self‑directed, detail‑oriented and comfortable owning a specialist space
