Equation Developer - Remote

We are seeking a highly skilled Equation Developer to join a well-known Islamic Bank in Bahrain remotely. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining solutions within the Equation Core Banking system, ensuring seamless integration with digital channels and third-party systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain middleware solutions using IBM Integration technologies.
• Integrate core banking systems with digital channels and external APIs via APIs and messaging platforms.
• Ensure scalability, reliability, and security of middleware components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather integration requirements.
• Develop and maintain microservices architecture for seamless system communication.
• Monitor and troubleshoot middleware performance and availability, ensuring secure development practices.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for middleware deployment and updates.
• Document integration flows, technical specifications, and support procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or BE in Computer Science and Engineering.
• 7–10 years of experience in IT development, preferably within the banking sector.
• Strong development experience in RPGLE, CL, SQLRPG, designing display files, sub files, reports, and physical files.
• Deep knowledge of AS400 commands for managing files, objects, and queries.
• Excellent knowledge of Equation Core Banking (back-end files, data management, EOD cycle, APIs, and user exits).
• Experience following structured SDLC processes and change/release management controls.
• Hands-on experience in designing, developing, and implementing solutions on the Equation Core Banking system.
