Research Software Developer

As a Full Stack Developer in R&D, you will contribute to designing and building high-quality prototypes and proof-of-concepts focused on Microsoft 365 and cybersecurity. Your work will help validate ideas, de-risk technical decisions, and accelerate product innovation across the organization.

You will collaborate closely with the Head of R&D, transforming abstract concepts into concrete, secure implementations.

About the Team

The R&D team within PDC acts as an innovation engine within the organization. Our mission is to:

• Build industry-level prototypes that explore new ideas, technologies, and approaches
• Proactively suggest innovative solutions and technical directions to the Product Management team
• Serve as a technical leverage point for Software Architects and Development teams

We work ahead of product roadmaps, turning emerging Microsoft 365 security challenges into tangible, working solutions that influence future products.

Your Job

• Design and implement industry-grade prototypes using C# / .NET and modern frontend technologies
• Build full-stack solutions integrating deeply with Microsoft 365 services (e.g. Graph API, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID)
• Apply security-by-design principles across application architecture and implementation
• Explore new Microsoft 365 features and assess their security and product potential
• Provide technical input and recommendations to Head of R&D based on hands-on experimentation

Your Profile

• Strong proficiency in C# and .NET
• Hands-on experience integrating with Microsoft 365
• Solid understanding of Microsoft 365 security concepts, including:
• Identity & access management (Entra ID)
• Permissions, roles, and consent models
• Secure API access (OAuth2, delegated vs application permissions)
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
• A security-aware mindset and strong interest in cloud and SaaS security

Nice to Have

• Experience with R&D, prototyping, or proof-of-concept development
• Knowledge of Zero Trust principles and Microsoft security tooling
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
