Job Title: Senior UX Engineer
Department: IT
Location: Little Rock, AR
Reports to: Manager of UX Engineering
About the Role:
Priority1 is modernizing the frontend experience across a large logistics platform used by customers and internal teams. We’re looking for a senior UX engineer who can build production React applications, contribute heavily to our design system, and raise the quality bar for the frontend work we ship.
You’ll work within the UX team, with product owners, and partner with backend teams to turn design into high-quality, scalable product experiences.
What You’ll Do
- Build production React and TypeScript single-page applications
- Contribute to our design system patterns
- Create reusable components, documentation, and practical usage guidance
- Review frontend code and model strong implementation habits
- Partner with backend engineers on API contracts that support the user experience
- Instrument UI behavior and use product analytics to improve shipped work
- Help raise the standard for accessibility, responsiveness, performance, and frontend maintainability
- Other essential functions as needed, as well as regular, reliable in-person attendance
We value proactive thinking over reactive execution. That means spotting risks early, identifying gaps before they become blockers, suggesting better patterns, and helping the team avoid avoidable churn.
AI-assisted development is part of how we work. We expect you to be comfortable using tools like Github Copilot or similar tools responsibly in day-to-day development.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years shipping production React and TypeScript applications
- Production experience with TanStack Query and TanStack Router, or close equivalents
- Hands-on experience with shadcn, Tailwind, and BaseUI/Radix-based component patterns
- Significant experience contributing to a production design system
- Strong understanding of component architecture, reusable UI patterns, accessibility, responsive design, and frontend maintainability
- Comfort working in Figma
- Experience partnering with backend engineers and reviewing frontend code
- Familiarity with product analytics tools such as PostHog, Amplitude, or Mixpanel
- Comfort using AI-assisted development tools
- Bonus points if you’ve helped modernize legacy applications
- Competitive Base Salary
- Medical Insurance with premiums paid at 100% for employees AND dependents
- Dental Insurance 100% paid for Employee
- Vision Insurance
- HSA with Employer Contributions
- Life Insurance
- Short Term Disability
- Long Term Disability
- 401(k) Plan
- Profit Sharing: Typical annual contribution of 15% of total eligible compensation
