Within the Multi Asset Solutions (MAS) investing group, we seek to develop a first-in-class digital advice platform across 401(k), IRA, and brokerage accounts, to provide individuals with custom tailored investment strategies to meet their retirement objectives.

How You Will Fulfill Your Potential
- A multi-discipline hands-on developer interested in solving real-world problems in the space of information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design and data distribution that will transform the AMD business.
- Proficient in an object-oriented language like Java. Eager to learn new ones including functional programming languages. Experience with Java, Ruby, React, and AWS is a plus.
- Embrace test-driven development and other agile techniques focusing more on their fundamental philosophies than the techniques themselves, allowing better judgement as to when to apply each to produce quality software.
- Ability to work closely with users to understand the problem space, identify solutions and implement them quickly.
- Focused on developing scalable solutions that solve a particular problem but are generalized to the right level such that the same solution can be applied to other problems.
- Constantly trying to improve existing systems / architecture.
- Keep on top of the latest news in software development from NoSQL/Distributed databases to Reactive Application design to micro-services.
- Use infrastructure-as-code to build and deploy cloud-native services in AWS
- Experience in, but not limited to, any one of the following: Java, C#, Ruby on Rails, Go, Python, AWS, JavaScript, React/Redux.
- Should include experience of working with non-relational as well as relational databases
- Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms
- Excellent object oriented or functional analysis and design skills
- Comfortable multi-tasking, managing multiple stakeholders, and working as part of a global team
- Proven communication and interpersonal ability
- Experience building client- and consumer-facing products is a plus, but far from required
- Knowledge of existing strategic firmwide platforms is a plus, but far from required
