Software Engineer – Factory Test Systems (Onsite – Tucson, AZ)

Experience Level: Intermediate

Position Overview

We are seeking a Software Engineer to support the development and integration of software for factory test systems used in weapon system production. This is a hands-on, onsite role in Tucson where you will contribute directly to building reliable, production-ready test capabilities that ensure product quality and performance.

In this role, you will develop applications, libraries, and instrument drivers while troubleshooting system issues and collaborating closely with cross-functional engineering teams. Your work will play a critical role in enabling efficient and scalable manufacturing test solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain software applications, libraries, and instrument drivers for factory test systems
  • Integrate software with automated test equipment (ATE) and hardware systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software and instrumentation issues in an engineering and production environment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, systems, and manufacturing engineers
  • Support the deployment and continuous improvement of production test solutions
  • Contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements through validation and release
  • Ensure software meets quality, reliability, and performance standards for production use

Required Qualifications

  • Experience developing object-oriented software using C# and/or C++
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in software and hardware-integrated environments
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team setting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with test systems or production/manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with:
    • Automated Test Equipment (ATE)
    • Instrument drivers and hardware/software integration
  • Understanding of test automation frameworks and practices
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate process-driven environments

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Melbourne, FL.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $80.00/hr.
