Software Engineer

Role Summary

We are seeking a Software Engineer with experience in .NET, C#, Angular, and Azure to support the development of core insurance applications. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in software engineering and experience working within insurance underwriting and policy management systems, particularly in an MGA environment.

You will contribute to building scalable applications, integrations, and services that support business-critical insurance operations while collaborating with senior engineers and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using C#, .NET, Angular, and Azure
• Build and support web services / APIs for internal and external integrations
• Contribute to enhancements and support of insurance policy and underwriting systems
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues
• Participate in code reviews and follow engineering best practices
• Support system performance, scalability, and reliability improvements
• Work closely with senior engineers on design and implementation

Required Qualifications

• 3–6 years of professional software engineering experience
• 2+ years experience in an insurance MGA or similar environment
• Strong experience with C# and .NET
• Experience building front-end applications with Angular
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure
• Experience designing and consuming REST and/or SOAP web services
• Understanding of insurance underwriting and policy management workflows
• Experience with relational databases

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to Vertafore IMS (configuration, document management, or integrations)
• Experience integrating with third-party or legacy insurance systems
• Familiarity with DevOps practices (CI/CD, deployments, monitoring)
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and test automation
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
