This is a great opportunity for a Senior Engineer to join a global brand undergoing significant transformation across their retail and commerce technology landscape.

You’ll be working across a complex ecosystem that supports in-store retail systems, commerce platforms, integrations, customer transactions, and operational technology used across a large national footprint.

Rather than focusing purely on one platform, this role sits across a broader retail technology environment - supporting critical systems, improving reliability and performance, and helping modernise the way technology is delivered across the business.

This role would suit someone who enjoys solving real-world engineering challenges, working across interconnected systems, and contributing to large-scale platforms that directly impact both customers and business operations.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting and enhancing retail and commerce technology platforms
• Working across integrations with payments, loyalty, ERP, customer, and enterprise systems
• Troubleshooting complex production issues and contributing to root cause analysis
• Improving deployment processes, automation, monitoring, and platform reliability
• Contributing to CI/CD pipelines and modern engineering practices
• Working across high-availability transactional systems operating at scale
• Collaborating closely with engineering, infrastructure, cybersecurity, operations, and business stakeholders
• Helping improve platform performance, stability, and scalability across a national environment

What We’re Looking For

• Strong software engineering experience within complex enterprise environments
• Experience working across retail, eCommerce, transactional, payments, or customer-facing platforms
• Ability to work across multiple integrated systems and technologies
• Experience supporting production systems and resolving complex technical issues
• Strong understanding of system performance, reliability, and operational best practices
• Comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Someone who enjoys ownership, problem-solving, and improving systems over time

Technical Environment

• Python or Java experience
• CI/CD tooling (Azure DevOps, Git)
• Cloud knowledge (AWS or Azure)
• Strong problem solving skills
