Senior Software Engineer - 251801

Medix is seeking a highly skilled Forward Deployed Engineer to lead the technical implementation and deployment of our platform within major healthcare environments. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex engineering and real-world client impact, ensuring our solutions integrate seamlessly with enterprise EHR systems.

Technical Execution and Deployment

• Own the end-to-end deployment of the platform for major health system clients running Epic, Athena, and other enterprise EHRs.
• Write production-grade code to extract and process data from EHR systems via Epic Clarity, Athena SQL, FHIR APIs, and HL7 feeds.
• Prototype and develop web applications with complex interaction patterns using Python, TypeScript/React, and PostgreSQL.
• Build tooling and internal infrastructure to scale deployment efficiency across our enterprise customer base.
• Lead technical discovery sessions with customer IT teams, DBAs, and technical analysts to map EHR environments.
• Partner with Solutions Consultants to translate business workflows and KPI requirements into scalable technical implementations.
• Act as the technical face of Medix, communicating complex engineering concepts to both technical and non-technical executive stakeholders.
• Act as a bridge between the customer and core Engineering/Product teams, bringing field data back to inform the long-term product roadmap.
• Maintain high standards of code quality through rigorous testing and peer reviews.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with a strong full-stack foundation.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python and TypeScript with a track record of building and scaling production systems.
• Advanced SQL skills, including complex query authoring, performance optimization, and the ability to navigate massive, fragmented healthcare schemas.
• Previous experience at a healthcare provider organization or a Health IT vendor.
• Prior experience in a Forward Deployed or Field Engineering role within a B2B SaaS environment.
