Our client seeks a Senior Developer Advocate to elevate developer experience through education, tooling advocacy, and community engagement. The role will champion modern engineering practices, cloud platforms, and DevAssist tools while translating complex technology into practical guidance for engineering teams. The position emphasizes collaboration, enablement, and content creation including documentation, posts, and demonstrations for developers.
Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $75.00 to $80.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities
- Advocate for developers by shaping and promoting engineering best practices across teams.
- Create clear, actionable documentation that enables developers to adopt tools and platforms effectively.
- Educate and enable engineers through posts, demos, and presentations that translate complex topics into practical value.
- Promote and guide usage of cloud services and DevOps practices including CI/CD.
- Evaluate and champion new features and emerging technologies to improve developer productivity.
- Collaborate across product teams to influence roadmaps based on developer needs and feedback.
- Engage engineering communities and facilitate knowledge sharing and hands-on learning.
- Produce and edit videos and screen-share walkthroughs to showcase workflows and guidance.
Experience Requirements
- Hands-on development experience or systems analysis experience within an Agile, full-stack team context.
- Proven collaboration skills with the ability to serve as an ambassador for developers.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with open-source and inner-source repositories.
- Ability to influence product roadmaps as the voice of developers.
- Experience with DevAssist tools such as GitHub Copilot or Gemini Code Assist.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to detail, responsiveness, and quality.
- Experience working with open-source communities (preferred).
- Video editing skills (preferred).
