Position Overview
The ServiceNow Developer will design, develop, and deliver both out‑of‑the‑box (OOB) and custom solutions on ServiceNow, primarily focusing on IT Service Management (ITSM) and non‑ITSM modules. The role supports the IT & Governance (ITG) department in streamlining workflows, enhancing non‑IT service‑management processes, and ensuring high‑quality, cost‑effective delivery for BNP Paribas clients.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, and deploy OOB and custom functionalities across multiple ServiceNow modules.
- Follow best‑practice development standards to ensure high‑quality deliverables.
- Write and maintain scripts (client‑side, server‑side, UI policies, UI actions, Business Rules, etc.) in line with functional requirements.
- Configure and customize ServiceNow platform components, including tables, forms, workflows, and integrations.
- Build and maintain flows using Flow Designer to automate processes.
- Ensure smooth knowledge transfer and transparent hand‑over of work to clients and internal teams.
- Participate actively as a team player and contribute to collaborative delivery.
- Apply understanding of business processes that are modelled in ServiceNow.
- Stay current with ServiceNow platform upgrades, new features, and release cycles.
- Maintain relevant ServiceNow certifications (e.g., CSA, ITSM, etc.).
Required Education, Skills and Experience (Must‑have)
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of hands‑on ServiceNow development experience, including both ITSM and non‑ITSM modules.
- Proven proficiency in ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript) and platform configuration.
- Experience with Flow Designer and building automated workflows.
- Valid ServiceNow certification – at least Certified System Administrator (CSA).
Preferred Education, Skills and Experience (Nice‑to‑have)
- Additional ServiceNow certifications (e.g., ITSM, HAM, SecOps, CSM).
- Experience with ServiceNow upgrades, release management, and testing of new platform features.
- Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies and performance‑indicator setup.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated discipline, punctuality, and a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Ability to mentor junior developers and contribute to skill‑development within the team.
- Creativity and problem‑solving aptitude for designing innovative solutions.
