Software Engineer

iSoftStone, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Team!

Onsite in Palo Alto, CA

*THIS IS A ONE YEAR W2 CONTRACT POSITION*

**Must be onsite in Palo Alto, CA**

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable data processing workflows and integration solutions
• Build and maintain backend components for data ingestion, transformation, and storage
• Support large-scale and distributed data systems to ensure performance and reliability
• Develop and optimize database structures, queries, and data models
• Implement system integrations using APIs and data synchronization mechanisms
• Assist with deployment and configuration of data services in structured development environments
• Monitor system performance and participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Support testing, debugging, and continuous improvement of data-driven applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions
• Document system designs, workflows, and technical processes

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 1–3 years of experience in software development or data engineering
• Experience developing data processing workflows or ETL pipelines
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, or similar)
• Strong SQL skills and familiarity with relational databases
• Basic understanding of distributed systems or large-scale data processing concepts
• Familiarity with APIs, webhooks, and system integrations
• Exposure to version control tools (e.g., Git)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with big data or distributed data processing frameworks
• Exposure to containerized or cloud-based environments
• Familiarity with system monitoring or performance optimization
• Understanding of CI/CD or DevOps concepts
• Experience supporting analytics or reporting systems

Primary Location Pay Range: $38 - $44 per hour
