What You'll Build
SAP's Research & Innovation (R&I) business unit is shaping the next generation of enterprise software. Our central innovation unit under SAP’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO) explores, applies, and scales new technologies.
As part of this organization, the Applied Research team is a technology-focused and research-driven expert team that is responsible for:
- Innovate with product teams - advise on and solve their research challenges, as well as develop together prototypes and new features
- Applying latest research results, publish academic results, supervise theses and ensure strong academic collaborations (such as joint research projects, guest lectures, committees) with local universities, e.g., Hasso-Plattner-Institut
- Develop engineering and research talent with individual grow paths from idea to product, mentoring of strong and experienced colleagues, and some freedom of choice to shape the future of SAP
In this role, you’ll support in building different demos, prototypes and showcases for convincing SAP stakeholders and customers from (y)our ideas and research results on the future of enterprise software.
What You Bring
You are a Bachelor or Master student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences. We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stays curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning:
- Preferred fields of study: Computer Science or a related field
- Strong programming skills and knowledge with related AI tools
- Very good understanding in at least two of our following priority topics: Artificial Intelligence, enterprise software and business processes, software engineering, data management, user experience, or cloud computing
- Good analytical and structural thinking skills and great interest in exploring new technologies and understanding how these help to tackle enterprise challenges
- Reliable and open-minded with strong team working skills, determined to reach a goal in time as well as the ability to work independently and to prioritize
- Very good communication and fluent English and German language skills - both written and verbal
- Working from Potsdam or Berlin office is required for at least one day per week (home office is possible)
Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please also describe your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.
