We are seeking a talented Software Engineer II who can independently deliver complex software features where the problem is defined, but the solution requires investigation and trade-off analysis. In this role, you will own the design, implementation, and operation of major components within our software services. You will tackle challenging problems, focus on operational health, improve delivery speed, and ensure systems are scalable and reliable. Additionally, you will influence technical decisions and mentor junior engineers, helping to elevate our engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Feature Ownership: Design, develop, and deploy significant parts of our services, taking full ownership from concept to production.
• System Design: Address complex technical challenges by applying sound system design principles, including API and database design.
• Operational Excellence: Maintain the health of your services through monitoring, incident response, and participation in on-call rotations.
• Quality & Scalability: Write high-quality, scalable code that enhances system reliability and accelerates team delivery.
• Mentorship: Guide and review code from junior engineers, fostering best practices and technical growth.
• Methodology: Promote Agile/Scrum practices and leverage CI/CD pipelines to optimize development workflows.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and QA, to deliver impactful solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of professional software development experience (non-internship).
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Proven ability to independently deliver software projects, including system and API design.
• Experience with database management (SQL and NoSQL).
• Proficiency with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automated testing.
• Deep knowledge of cloud services such as AWS (S3, EC2, Lambda), Docker, and Kubernetes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Experience building high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of security best practices.
• Prior experience acting as a technical lead on projects.
