Visiting Assistant Professor candidates should possess a commitment to teaching chemistry that supports undergraduates primarily in introductory chemistry courses.
Florida Polytechnic University will offer a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences beginning in fall 2026.
This position will primarily focus on Chemistry 1 lectures and laboratory instruction. As such, applicants must demonstrate commitment to teaching within the freshman and sophomore year. Candidates are expected to assist in the broader educational mission of the university.
The appointment is projected to begin on August 10, 2026. This appointment is nine (9) months paid over 12 months with the potential for reappointment.
Job Description
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:
- A Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field, where the degree must be complete before a candidate’s starting date.
- Prior teaching and relevant research or industry experience.
- Participation in professional activities and organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with broad campus community.
