We're seeking a Software Engineer to join our Patient Experience Cloud (PXC) team.

PXC is Zotec's FHIR-based patient billing and communication platform, the engine that powers how millions of patients receive, understand, and resolve their healthcare bills. As a Software Engineer on PXC, you'll build cloud-native, event-driven services that orchestrate patient communications at scale, and collaborate with experienced engineers who are passionate about solving hard problems in healthcare. Technologies We Use

• Languages and Frameworks: Python, FastAPI, .NET Core
• Front-end: TypeScript and Angular
• Cloud and infrastructure: AWS - Lambda, S3, RDS, ECS, API Gateway, SNS/SQS, EventBridge, Athena
• Event-driven backbone: EventBridge, SNS/SQS
• Data: Postgres, SQL Server, Athena, FHIR-based data models
• Integrations: Twilio for text and voice communications
• AI and Agentic tooling: Cursor, GitHub CoPilot, other tools subject to approval
• Observability: Datadog, Splunk, structured logging

What You'll Do:

• Work with product owners and a team of software and test engineers to define and develop world class product solutions
• Design, build, and operate cloud-native, event-driven services that power patient billing communications across SMS, email, voice, and web
• Harness big data to provide insights and make healthcare billing easier to understand
• Use AI and agentic workflows as a core part of your everyday engineering practice - we expect you to work daily with tools like Cursor and GitHub Copilot to design, write, review, and debug code.
• Collaborate with other engineers to learn and share knowledge of modern development techniques
• Drive fresh ideas on how new technology can be used to solve problems differently
• Grow as a technologist in an inspiring environment with like-minded and tech hungry peers

Who You Are:

• You are a professional with a passion for technology, exploring data, and creating solutions to benefit real people.
• You’ve studied and/or developed solutions in Python or .NET, using cloud-native technologies, microservices and RESTful APIs.
• You want to see a job done well and can drive tasks through to completion independently or in a group setting.
• You enjoy researching potential solutions and aren’t afraid to ask questions or seek clarification.
• You have excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills and are adaptable to change.

• Grow your skills in AWS.
• Increase your experience with development tools and processes for more rapid, repeatable development.
