Artificial Intelligence Engineer

Role: AI Engineer

Location: Dallas, TX or FL, GA, NJ, VA, or Massachusetts (4 days onsite per week)

What we actually need:

• The candidate will build and maintain a VS Code extension that leverages AI to modernize legacy Java/Oracle applications into modern architectures.
• Responsibilities include implementing prompt engineering systems, constructing conversational AI workflows within VS Code, and integrating with vector databases and knowledge graphs.
• The core task involves creating an automated pipeline that analyzes legacy code, formulates intelligent questions, and generates modernization artifacts such as design documents and code instructions.
• The role will involve a balance between TypeScript extension development and Python services for embeddings and similarity computation.
• This position focuses on hands-on engineering of an internal AI tooling platform, rather than research or pure machine learning work.
