Software Developer - Quantitative Trading

Software Engineer - Quantitative Trading
We’re partnering with a Quantitative Equities Trading org, who are hiring Software Engineers. The mission: help researchers move faster, test better ideas, and get models into production cleanly and reliably. This isn’t a support role and it isn’t pure infra - you’ll sit right at the intersection of engineering, math, and markets.
The environment feels closer to a research lab or an early-stage startup than a large trading floor - but with the resources, data, and stability you’d expect from a top-tier firm.
What you’ll actually work on
- Designing and owning the distributed systems that allows Researchers to backtest their trade ideas, to shorten the idea → experiment → result loop.
- Working side-by-side with quants to turn research code into profit generating models in production
- Taking ownership of the monitoring and tweaking of revenue generating algorithms in production
Who this tends to work well for
- Software engineers who enjoy algorithmic problem-solving, not just product features.
- People with a math, physics, or quantitative mindset - whether formal or self-taught.
- Engineers who like owning systems end-to-end and iterating on them over time.
- Engineers coming from big tech, startups, or research environments who want their work closer to the “decision-making engine.”
Why people join (and stay)
- Small teams, real ownership, and visible impact on research and trading outcomes.
- Engineering decisions actually matter - performance, correctness, and design are taken seriously.
- A culture that values deep thinking, clean systems, and long-term reliability over hype.
- The autonomy of a startup with the scale, data, and compute of a world-class firm.
