An API Developer responsible for supporting the development, maintenance, and enhancement of APIs and integrations. Work closely with internal stakeholders and technical teams to deliver API solutions and support integration initiatives within an Agile environment.

Functional Skills And Knowledge
- Experience in API development and system integration concepts.
- Exposure to API management and integration platforms such as MuleSoft, Boomi, Apigee, WSO2, Kong, or similar technologies is an added advantage.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON/XML payloads, API gateways, and integration concepts.
- Familiarity with API testing and documentation tools such as Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI.
- Exposure to cloud-based or on-premise integration environments is an added advantage.
- Understanding of databases, ETL processes, and data integration concepts.
- Familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaborative development practices.
- Familiarity with DevOps concepts, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes is an added advantage.
- Understanding of integration standards, security practices, and development best practices.
- Support the development and maintenance of APIs for internal and external consumption.
- Participate in API integration projects, enhancements, and change requests (CRs).
- Prepare and maintain API specifications and technical documentation.
- Participate in requirement gathering, technical discussions, and solution implementation with business and technical teams.
- Support API testing activities including functional, performance, and troubleshooting.
- Monitor API and integration performance and assist in resolving issues when necessary.
- Troubleshoot and resolve API or integration-related issues independently or with guidance from senior team members.
- Ensure adherence to IT policies, development standards, and operational procedures.
- Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a cross-functional team environment.
- Strong sense of ownership, problem-solving mindset, and willingness to learn and improve continuously.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computing, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
- 2–6 years of working experience in API development, system integration, or related areas.
