The role would also involve integrating Dot.Net application with the strategic Snowflake data warehouse.
Responsibilities
- Application Migration: Convert legacy desktop .NET applications (WinForms/WPF) into scalable, secure, and responsive web applications
- Web Development: Design and develop web-based solutions using ASP.NET Core, C#, and modern front-end frameworks.
- Integration: Implement APIs and services to integrate with internal systems and third-party platforms.
- Performance Optimization: Ensure applications meet high standards for performance, security, and reliability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, QA teams, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions aligned with business goals.
- Testing & Deployment: Write unit tests, perform code reviews, and support deployment in cloud or on-prem environments.
- Documentation: Maintain clear technical documentation for migrated and new applications.
- 7+ years of professional .NET development experience.
- Prior experience in application migration projects is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Framework, and .NET Core.
- Experience with ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Core, and RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with WinForms/WPF for understanding legacy systems.
- Knowledge of SQL Server and database design.
- Experience with front end - HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Angular, or Blazor.
- Understanding of cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Exposure to investment management, financial services, or similar regulated industries is highly desirable.
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of security best practices for financial applications.
