- 3+ years of professional software development experience.
- Advanced English is required.
- Successful completion of a four-year college degree is required.
- Strong backend experience with PHP and frameworks such as CakePHP.
- Experience working in the LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP).
- Frontend development experience using JavaScript, including jQuery and React.
- Experience building or supporting backend services with Node.js.
- Strong working knowledge of MySQL, including schema design and query optimization.
- Experience deploying and maintaining applications in AWS (EC2, RDS, S3 or similar).
- Experience maintaining and improving legacy systems while supporting production stability.
- Proficiency with Git workflows (branching, pull requests, code reviews).
- Experience with Jira and Bitbucket.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team environment.
- Experience modernizing legacy PHP applications or refactoring monolithic systems.
- Experience building REST APIs and integrating third-party services.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, or Docker.
- Experience improving application or database performance.
- Comfortable working across multiple codebases and technology stacks.
- Ability to work through new and difficult issues and contribute to libraries as needed.
- Ability to create and maintain continuous integration and delivery of applications.
- Forensic attention to detail.
- A positive mindset and a can-do attitude.
- Experience working on Agile/Scrum teams.
- Meaningful experience working on large, complex systems.
