Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced developer who takes pride in writing clean, efficient code and solving real-world problems. You're comfortable working across both front-end and back-end systems, and you enjoy working with modern frameworks like Next.js and React. You like leading technical initiatives, collaborating with teammates, sharing ideas, and working toward common goals. What You’ll Be Working On

In this role, you'll be a key contributor to our EzEvent project. As a core member of the EzEvent team, you will help build and scale a high-traffic web application designed to handle the complexities of real-time ticketing and event management. EzEvent empowers users to host their own gatherings, manage digital storefronts for tickets, and discover local experiences. You'll tackle challenges related to high-concurrency booking systems, secure payment integrations, and location-based search optimization to ensure a seamless experience for thousands of organizers and attendees.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of EzEvent using Next.js and React.
• Help maintain and enhance our component registry system.
• Collaborate with other engineers to integrate APIs, improve performance, and refactor existing systems as needed.
• Work closely with frontend and backend teams to ensure clean separation of concerns and scalable design.
• Collaborate with Product Leaders to digest new business asks, such as implementing new features and A/B tests – utilizing concepts such as feature flagging.
• Assist in optimizing code for performance, maintainability, and accessibility. Participate in code reviews, standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues as they arise.
• Stay up-to-date with relevant technologies and share findings with the team.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Strong experience with React, Next.js, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript development.
• Experience working with .NET Frameworks.
• Experience working with REST or GraphQL APIs.
• Strong understanding of component-based architecture and best practices for reusable, maintainable UI.
• Familiarity with Git, agile workflows, and collaborative development.
• A growth mindset and a willingness to support peers.
• Experience working in ecommerce
• Building SOC 2 Compliance into applications
• Experience with PCI DSS Compliance with payment processing.

Additional Skills

• Familiarity with headless CMS platforms like Builder.io, Contentful, or similar platforms.

• Experience integrating, and supporting data pipelines with Google Analytics & Google Tag Manager
• Experience working on multi-tenant or multi-brand sites.
• Exposure to edge computing platforms like Vercel or Cloudflare.
• Understanding of CI/CD workflows and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with performance monitoring and debugging tools like Lighthouse, Sentry, or Datadog.
