For our client, a renowned pharmaceutical company in Rotkreuz, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (m/f/d)

Background

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who is comfortable in the deep end, someone with solid experience in large-scale systems, strong Kubernetes knowledge, and hands-on skills in Python or Go. You will be joining a team running thousands of clusters worldwide, so ownership and a proactive mindset are key.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Writing clean, well-tested code – including contributions to open source projects the team uses or maintains
• Designing and implementing software solutions via design documents (RFCs)
• Ensuring great automated test coverage and thorough documentation of your work
• Acting as a role model and helping the team follow software engineering best practices
• Contributing to the end-to-end automation and orchestration of Kubernetes clusters at global scale

Must Haves

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, ideally in large-scale or high-growth environments
• Strong background in scalable systems and modern engineering practices
• Recent hands-on experience with Python and/or Go
• Solid experience with Kubernetes – usage, concepts, and operations
• Familiarity with public cloud environments such as AWS
• Experience in test automation, ideally with pytest
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership
• Fluent English is a must; experience in compute infrastructure & platforms is a plus

Nice to haves

• Interest in or experience with tools such as HashiCorp Vault, FluxCD, Kustomize, Terraform, Grafana, GitLab, Slack, and Linear
