Expleo is seeking a Software & Systems Test Coordination Engineer to support a major engineering programme. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in coordinating and overseeing testing activities, ensuring alignment, transparency, and high-quality delivery across multiple stakeholders.
This role requires a strong technical understanding of software and systems testing; however, it is not a hands-on testing position. The focus is on coordination, governance, and driving performance through data, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
📅 Contract: 12 Months
📍 Warwickshire (Hybrid/Onsite as required)
💷 Rate: £33.88 per hour (Inside IR35)
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and report on the overall testing status of programmes
- Ensure adherence to established testing processes, standards, and governance frameworks
- Drive issue management activities, including tracking, prioritization, and resolution
- Maintain and update issue registers and tracking systems with accuracy and rigour
- Facilitate regular issue review meetings, ensuring clear ownership and follow-up actions
- Deliver clear and concise status reports to senior stakeholders
- Develop and manage metrics, KPIs, and dashboards to support programme visibility
- Identify process gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate across cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and alignment
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong knowledge of software and systems testing processes and tools.
- Understanding of both agile and waterfall methodologies and specifically the testing aspects of these methodologies
- Ability to develop, interpret, and present metrics and KPI dashboards
- Solid understanding of software integration principles and dependencies.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead discussions on complex or sensitive matters.
- High attention to detail and process discipline.
- Ability to identify areas of weakness and where help is needed .
- Experience working within structured project governance frameworks (e.g., PMO, programme teams).
- Ability to maintain and update issue registers and tracking systems with accuracy and rigour.
- Ability to facilitate regular issue review meetings, ensuring clear ownership and timely follow-up
- Understanding of JIRA and Tableau would be desirable, but not essential

Degree educated or equivalent experience
