Job Title

Senior Software Engineer

About The Opportunity

Our client is launching a next-generation, on-chain trading platform engineered to deliver institutional-grade speed, execution quality, and market visibility directly to active traders. As an early engineering team member, you will drive a true 0-to-1 product effort, translating complex distributed systems and blockchain market mechanics into seamless, high-performance workflows. If you want to build the foundational product layer on top of high-throughput transactional infrastructure, this role offers direct, unconstrained impact.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement core components for a greenfield decentralized trading application from the ground up.
  • Construct low-latency, highly resilient backend services that interface directly with high-throughput blockchain transaction streams.
  • Take complete ownership of critical infrastructure paths, including smart order routing, trade execution engines, real-time market data feeds, and portfolio position tracking.
  • Enforce rigorous security standards across all layers, including secure transaction signing protocols, infrastructure deployment, and data protection.
  • Partner with cross-functional product and infrastructure units to rapidly deploy features and iterate based on live user data.
  • Drive foundational architectural choices, establishing engineering standards for a growing technical team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a heavy emphasis on distributed systems architecture.
  • Advanced systems programming capabilities, preferably using Rust, though deep expertise in C/C++ or Go is highly acceptable.
  • Demonstrated track record of deploying and maintaining high-availability, low-latency production applications.
  • Security-centric development approach with an intuitive understanding of system vulnerability surfaces, cryptographic key management, and complex failure recovery modes.
  • Ability to execute independently and make sound technical decisions within fast-paced, fluid startup environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior exposure to blockchain runtime environments, transaction lifecycles, or decentralized trading infrastructure.
  • Background in exchange engineering, order matching systems, or traditional high-frequency trading (HFT) platforms.
  • Experience developing core fintech backend architectures, including payment rails, institutional custody, or execution venues.
