Software Engineer

The Role

• Develop, optimize, and adapt existing applications in RPG on IBM i
• Perform error analysis and implement sustainable solutions to ensure continuous operation of the merchandise management system on the IBM platform
• Provide first and second-level user support for the merchandise management system
• Plan and implement (partial) projects within merchandise management in consultation with specialist departments
• Design new programs and their integration into the ERP environment
• Conduct system analysis and document existing programs

What You'll Need

• Completed training as a Software Developer or comparable qualification (career changers welcome)
• Knowledge of software development on IBM i with RPG
• Experience with AS400 and DB2 databases (conception, setup, and maintenance) is a plus
• Experience with migration projects is a plus
• Enjoyment and interest in software development, with an eye on underlying business processes
• High flexibility and sense of responsibility, with an independent, reliable, and structured approach to work
