Staff AI Engineer

We’re hiring for a fast-growing tech scale-up building a product used by hundreds of thousands of developers globally.

The company recently raised significant funding to accelerate its product roadmap and is making AI a major strategic focus.

Historically, the team built proprietary ML models to solve large-scale detection and classification problems.

They’re now evolving toward a more LLM-first / agentic architecture and are looking for someone who can help structure that transition.

The role : You’ll work on highly strategic AI challenges across multiple layers

AI Product

• Classification
• Enrichment
• Prioritization
• Building LLM-powered product features

Agentic Systems

• Multi-step workflows
• Tool calling
• Orchestration
• Automation workflows

AI Platform

• Model routing
• Batching / caching
• Cost & latency optimization
• Infrastructure decisions

Evaluation & Reliability

• Benchmarks
• Monitoring
• Feedback loops
• AI system reliability

Technical Leadership

• Help define AI strategy
• Drive technical decisions
• Partner closely with product and engineering leadership

What they’re looking for

• Strong experience building LLM systems in production
• Strong software engineering fundamentals
• Platform / infrastructure experience is a plus
• Exposure to agentic workflows is highly valued
• Someone who can stay hands-on while operating at a strategic level
