About The Role
At Pierag Consulting, we partner with forward-thinking organizations to deliver high-impact, sustainable transformation. Our Enterprise Support Operations practice helps businesses build resilience, trust, and operational confidence through a suite of services that include internal audit, enterprise risk management, ESG, regulatory compliance, and cyber governance. We are now seeking a Business Development Manager / Associate Director to strengthen our market position and scale our offerings across the Indian corporate landscape.
This is a senior client-facing role with accountability for driving business development, deepening client relationships, and collaborating with delivery teams to expand Pierag’s impact in the domestic Indian market. The ideal candidate understands the Indian regulatory and business environment, has experience with Indian conglomerates, listed entities, or high-growth startups, and brings a consultative, client-centric mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Market Growth
- Lead business development efforts across India in Risk Advisory services including internal audit, compliance, , ESG, risk management and transformation, IT general controls and cyber advisory.
- Generate new business opportunities by targeting key decision-makers in organizations across various industries (lead generation)
- Build and manage the strong sales pipeline including BD lifecycle from lead generation to closure, ensuring proactive engagement with CXOs, CFOs, Heads of Audit, and Risk Officers.
- Identify whitespace opportunities in key sectors (e.g., manufacturing, BFSI, healthcare, infrastructure, tech startups).
- Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and risks in key sectors.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, with strong understanding of their operational risks, governance needs, and compliance challenges. Act as Key Account Manager for key accounts.
- Develop account-based growth strategies for priority clients; collaborate with partners and consultants to shape solution narratives.
- Drive the development of proposals, pitch decks, pricing models, and RFP responses with cross-functional inputs.
- Partner with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns that resonate with specific industries or client segments.
- Lead conversations that balance technical insights with business impact, tailored to the Indian regulatory landscape (SEBI, RBI, MCA, etc.).[GK1]
- Partner with Risk Advisory delivery leaders to align client needs with delivery capabilities and sector expertise.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge building, BD pipeline reporting, and client research initiatives.
- Track market movements, regulatory shifts, and competitive actions in India; provide actionable insights to the leadership.
- Represent Pierag at industry forums, webinars, and client events to enhance visibility and thought leadership.
- 8–10 years in business development, client service, or advisory roles in consulting, Big 4, or risk-focused firms.
- Prior exposure to Indian markets and working with listed companies, regulated entities, or fast-scaling firms.
