A Day In The Life
- Assist in maintaining, cleaning and organizing disparate datasets including a database of all shortage focused initiatives.
- Assist in tracking and measuring the targeted and actual impact of shortage improvement initiatives over time, leveraging AB testing and predictive modeling.
- Contribute to developing materials for post-PI executive results meetings to clearly communicate new trends and learnings following each inventory cycle.
- Own the task of measuring the sales impact of Asset Protection, as well as other Capital projects, levering in house tools/systems.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in data science and analytics. 1-2 years of AB testing and predictive modeling experience preferred. Retail experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
- Experience in using multiple data sources to model complex business situations.
- Experience cleaning, organizing, and maintaining disparate datasets
- Proficient in R or Python
- Experience using GitHub to maintain and update code
- Proficient in data visualization tool such as PowerBI or Tableau
- Strong written and verbal communication with emphasis on strong inter-personal skills.
- Proven ability to work independently to drive projects to completion.
- Retail experience with shortage focus preferred.
- Proficient Excel skills. Proficient with PowerPoint.
- Databricks experience preferred.
- Experience with test and learn sales analytics tools, preferred.
- Must be capable of sitting and operating a computer for long periods.
- Must have ready access to personal transportation, as job requires driving short distances between corporate facilities on a regular basis (costs reimbursed through mileage allowance).
