Senior AI Engineer – Computer Vision (Manufacturing)

Work:

We’re hiring a hands-on AI Engineer to build and deploy computer vision models for a manufacturing client.

The focus is on detecting defects on production lines (scratches, cracks, misalignment, etc.) using image/video data and getting those models into real production environments.

This is a practical, impact-driven role — not research.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Build and train computer vision models for defect detection
• Work with image and video data from production environments
• Deploy models into real-time or near real-time systems
• Improve model accuracy and performance over time
• Partner with engineering teams to integrate models into live workflows

What They’re Looking For:

• Strong experience in computer vision / object detection
• Python + PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Experience deploying ML models into production
• Experience working with real-world image data
• Exposure to YOLO or similar object detection frameworks
• Experience with OpenCV
• Familiarity with GPU environments or edge deployment
• Any manufacturing or industrial experience

Details:

• Fully remote (US-based)
• 40 hrs/week
• 12-month contract (possible extension)
• $100–$130/hr (W2 or LLC only)
• No C2C
