Overview

Our client is seeking a Project Engineer to support large-scale industrial and data center construction projects, with a focus on structural steel systems. This role will work closely with project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination across design, fabrication, and field execution.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Manage document control processes, including RFIs, submittals, drawings, and revisions to ensure accuracy across project phases
• Assist with cost estimating and quantity takeoffs for structural steel materials and labor
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to troubleshoot and resolve project issues
• Support project scheduling efforts by tracking timelines, dependencies, and critical path activities
• Prepare technical documentation such as shop drawings, reports, submittals, and as-built records
• Contribute to process improvements by identifying opportunities to enhance project efficiency and coordination
• Travel up to 25% as needed for project support

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience supporting structural steel, industrial, or data center construction projects
• Hands-on experience with RFIs, submittals, and construction documentation workflows
• Strong understanding of construction drawings and coordination between design and field teams
• Proficiency with industry tools such as Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Trimble, or Primavera P6
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
