Could you be the full/part-time Software Development Engineer (f/m/d) in Mannheim we’re looking for?
Your Future Role
In Mannheim, over 1000 colleagues from 36 different countries work together to develop locomotives, as well as signal and propulsion technology for vehicles that are deployed both regionally and worldwide. Our corporate functions play a key role in supporting and continuously improving the performance of our sites. You’ll report to the Control Engineering Teamlead and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.
You’ll specifically take care ofTraxx Locomotives development of TRAXX locomotive train control and information systems but also contribute to other train control related projects and in continuous improvement of our way of working, processes and tools.
We’ll look for you to :
- Contribute to concepts, design, and requirements of train control functionality;
- Contribute to TCMS architecture and design;
- Responsible to derive software design and requirements ;
- Responsible to implement changes and new functionality ;
- Responsible for evaluating problemreports from different sources like field testing on vehicles or laboratory tests ;
- Occasionally supporting on the vehicle during train integration, testing or validation.
- Relevant degree or work experience is a must ;
- Hands-on experience in design & development software (EN-IEC 61131) ;
- Knowledge of EN 50657, EN 50716, EN 50128 and EN50129 ;
- Experience in electrical and schematic design activities is valuable ;
- Knowledge of network technologies is beneficial (MVB, CAN, IPTCOM, TRDP) ;
- Fluent in English, German is a plus ;
- Team spirit and willingness to cooperate ;
