Purpose of Position
The Software Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and identifying improvements by planning, implementing, and monitoring software framework solutions.
Tasks And Responsibilities
- Design and develop RESTful APIs and web services using Node.js, Express, and MongoDB.
- Build responsive front-end interfaces using React.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.
- Participate in system design discussions and translate requirements into well-structured technical solutions.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on new features, architectural improvements, and performance optimizations.
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies to guide modernization efforts and product scalability.
- Integrate with internal and third-party systems, ensuring secure and reliable data exchange.
- Diagnose and resolve application issues through root-cause analysis and efficient troubleshooting.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code using Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
- Contribute to code reviews, testing automation, and documentation.
- Provide occasional after-hours support for production deployments or critical system issues.
- Manage multiple priorities effectively and communicate progress clearly.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Travel when required
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent industry experience
- 2+ years of professional experience in software development
- 1+ years working with the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js)
- Strong understanding of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and modern web standards
- Experience with React.js, hooks, and state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, or Context API)
- Backend experience with Node.js, Express, and MongoDB
- Familiarity with REST APIs, GraphQL, or similar service models
- Knowledge of authentication and authorization best practices (JWT, OAuth, SSO)
- Experience using Git, GitHub, or Azure DevOps for version control and collaboration
- Familiarity with Docker or containerized deployments preferred
- Experience writing and maintaining unit/integration tests (Jest, Vite, Cypress, etc.)
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and agile workflows
- Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills
