Software Engineer

We are looking for a Java Software Engineer to support one of our key clients in Hengelo, a global leader in high-tech security and mission-critical systems. You will contribute to the development of a high-performance software platform—the central "brain" of complex hardware systems—responsible for processing real-time sensor data to ensure situational awareness in high-stakes environments.

Your Role

• Development: Design and implement Java-based software solutions within a modern technical environment.
• Agile Collaboration: Work in a multidisciplinary Scrum team taking full ownership of planning, architecture, and quality.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure robust performance through Unit Testing, Test Automation, and Cucumber.
• Infrastructure: Work with a modern DevOps stack including Jenkins, Nexus, Maven, and Git.

Your Profile

• Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in Java development.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science.
• Skills: Knowledge of Linux, shell scripting, and an interest in containerization (Docker/Podman).
• Mindset: A team player who is passionate about technology and solving complex technical puzzles.
