About The Role
The Financial Programmer is an integral part of Latham’s Technology & Information Services team. This role will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining financial and accounting applications for firmwide use , while participating in consultations with financial development, project management, and finance/accounting team members regarding system requirements and functionality . This role will be located in our Global Services Office in Downtown Los Angeles . Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Other key responsibilities include:
- Designing and delivering scalable financial applications, APIs, and cloud-native services supporting critical business operations
- Driving modernization of legacy systems and building next-generation cloud-based solutions
- Owning technical solutions end-to-end (design through deployment), ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability
- Developing high-quality solutions using modern frameworks (.NET, React, TypeScript) and engineering best practices, including testing and automation
- Leveraging AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to accelerate development, testing, and documentation
- Contributing to architecture decisions, including service-oriented and event-driven systems
- Partnering with business and technical stakeholders to deliver practical, scalable solutions
- Improving engineering practices, including CI/CD pipelines, code quality, and development standards
- Supporting production systems through monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
- Mentoring team members and contributing to a culture of continuous learning and engineering excellence
- Demonstrate strong experience in modern full-stack development (C#, .NET, React, TypeScript, SQL)
- Have built or modernized applications using scalable architectures (APIs, microservices, event-driven systems)
- Possess experience with cloud-native development using Azure
- Demonstrate comfort using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to enhance productivity
- Enjoy solving complex problems and collaborating across teams
- Thrive in Agile environments and value continuous improvement
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
- 6+ years of experience developing enterprise applications
- Strong experience with C#, .NET, and modern application architecture
- Experience with React, TypeScript, and modern front-end development
- Experience building cloud-native solutions in Azure
- Strong SQL and database design skills
- Experience working with REST APIs and distributed systems
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based development tools (GitHub preferred)
- Experience using modern AI-assisted development tools and practices

Pay Range
USD $120,000.00 - USD $135,000.00 /Yr.
