Senior Full Stack Engineer

Senior / Staff Full Stack Engineer (AI Product) | Boston (Hybrid) | $150k-$240k with Equity

We are partnering with a well-funded, early-stage AI startup that is building an AI-native platform to transform how expert insights are accessed and delivered. With strong early traction and backing from leading investors, the business is now scaling its engineering team to support the next phase of growth.

This is an opportunity to join as a foundational engineering hire, working closely with technical leadership to build and shape a cutting-edge, AI-first product.

The Role

As a Senior or Staff Full Stack Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing the core systems that power the platform. You will work across the stack, contribute to architectural decisions, and help define engineering standards in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

This role is suited to someone who enjoys combining hands-on engineering with system design and close collaboration with product and AI teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale robust full-stack applications
• Contribute to system architecture with a focus on scalability, performance, and reliability
• Collaborate with product, design, and ML teams to deliver AI-powered features
• Work with modern AI technologies, including LLMs and intelligent search systems
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance as the team grows
• Help define engineering standards, tools, and ways of working

Tech Stack

• Python (Django or FastAPI)
• TypeScript and React
• PostgreSQL
• AWS
• Docker
• Experience with LLM APIs (e.g. GPT, Claude) is beneficial

About You

• 7+ years’ experience in full-stack software engineering
• Experience working in startup or high-growth environments
• Strong understanding of scalable systems and modern architecture
• Proven experience building and operating production-grade applications
• Exposure to AI-driven products or strong interest in the space
• Comfortable working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
