AI Engineer

The role

We’re supporting a private-equity backed global manufacturer investing heavily in AI, automation, and digital transformation initiatives across multiple business functions. They are seeking an AI Engineer to help design, build, and scale enterprise AI solutions that improve operational efficiency and support innovation.

• Location: Barcelona
• Hybrid: 3 days onsite
• Start: ASAP
• Budget: Up to €100k + Bonus

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy AI-powered applications and intelligent automation solutions
• Build AI agents and workflow orchestration systems using cloud-native and custom approaches
• Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI adoption
• Develop solutions for analysing structured and unstructured datasets
• Ensure production readiness through testing, monitoring, optimisation, and governance
• Evaluate emerging AI tools, frameworks, and implementation methodologies

• Production-ready AI and automation solutions
• AI workflow orchestration and integration frameworks
• Scalable data retrieval and knowledge management capabilities
• Monitoring, governance, and operational support models
• Roadmap for future AI capability expansion

Profile

• AI Engineer / ML Engineer / Software Engineer background
• Experience delivering GenAI or LLM-based solutions in enterprise environments
• Microsoft Copilot
• Python, TypeScript/JavaScript
• Strong Python engineering capability
• Experience with Microsoft AI ecosystem and cloud AI services advantageous
• Knowledge of RAG systems, orchestration frameworks, and AI deployment practices
• Able to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
