AI Engineer | Advanced AI, Graph & LLM Systems

We’re looking for an AI Engineer to join a highly innovative environment focused on incubating and building next-generation AI solutions. This role sits at the intersection of research and engineering, taking early-stage ideas through to production-ready systems.

Role Overview

This is a hands-on engineering role where you will design and build end-to-end AI systems across graph-based intelligence, modern NLP/LLM solutions, and core machine learning. You will work across multiple domains, integrating models, structured and unstructured data, APIs, and enterprise platforms to deliver scalable, real-world solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Build agentic workflows, retrieval pipelines, and graph-enabled AI capabilities

• Develop semantic search, RAG pipelines, and text-to-SQL solutions

• Design and optimise retrieval systems (lexical, vector, hybrid) and embedding pipelines

• Integrate LLMs into production applications and support fine-tuning/adaptation

• Build APIs and backend services powering AI-driven applications

• Implement evaluation frameworks, testing, and performance monitoring

• Develop data pipelines including ETL/ELT and graph data ingestion

• Ensure observability, logging, and reliability across AI systems

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in agile delivery environments

Required Experience

• Strong Python engineering experience (3–6+ years)

• Solid foundation in machine learning and data science

• Experience with LLMs, NLP, and semantic search (RAG, embeddings, etc.)

• Exposure to graph data science, knowledge graphs, or GNNs is advantageous

• Experience building APIs, microservices, and data-driven systems

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and CI/CD practices

Additional Skills

• Experience with retrieval and ranking systems (vector databases, hybrid search)

• Knowledge of evaluation, observability, and AI system performance optimisation

• Exposure to distributed compute or GPU-based workloads is a plus

Mindset

• Strong ownership and ability to work in ambiguous, fast-moving environments

• Comfortable experimenting and iterating on complex problems

• Focus on clean, reliable, and scalable engineering practices

Additional info:

  • Remote (expected to be available for quarterlytrips to Prague)
  • 12 month contract
  • Working overlap needed with US based client: 9-6/10-7 CET
