This role is for a senior data engineering leader who owns complex data domains end to end, understands P&C insurance business processes, and sets the bar for engineering excellence on modern data platforms such as Databricks and Palantir Foundry and alike.

We are seeking a Lead Data Engineer for the Property & Casualty (P&C) domain to join our Tech, Data & AI team. The successful candidate is a hands‑on technical leader with deep data engineering expertise, strong communication skills, and a solid understanding of P&C insurance data and processes.


You will be responsible for leading data engineering activities for the P&C domain, ensuring the robustness, scalability, and quality of data pipelines and analytical datasets. Beyond delivery, you will help shape how data engineering evolves at SCOR, including its role in enabling AI‑driven use cases.
This position is not a generic software engineering role: it requires strong ownership of data flows, data models, and analytics ready datasets that directly support underwriting, reserving, pricing, and performance steering.

Experience

  • At leat 7 years of experience as a data engineer, data oriented mindset
  • At least 3 years of experience in coaching or managing a team of developers
  • Proven experience in development and maintenance of data pipelines, preferably in agile projects
  • Proven experience with Databricks and/or Palantir Foundry is a plus.
  • Experience in (Re)insurance and / or Financial Services is a plus.

Technical Skills :

  • Strong level in Python, Pyspark and SQL, ability to develop data pipelines under various platform using best practices such as parallelization, distributing programing techniques, decisional modeling, slowly changing dimensions, change data capture management…
  • Good knowledge of CI / CD pipelines and Gitflows best practices
  • Good knowledge of REST API development
  • Knowledge of reporting tools is a plus
