Title: Technical Product Manager - Travel Tech

Job Description

We are seeking a Technical Product Manager - Travel Tech to lead our White-Label Online Booking Engine (OBE). In this role, you will own the strategy and execution of a scalable, multi-tenant platform used by travel agencies, corporate partners, and tour operators globally. You will bridge complex travel supply—including GDS, low-cost carriers, and bedbanks—with a highly customizable, fully brandable front-end experience. Your objective is to deliver a true plug-and-play solution that enables customers to launch world-class travel booking portals with minimal technical effort.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap

· Define the vision for a global, multi-currency, and multi-lingual booking platform.

· Prioritize features that balance tenant-specific needs with core platform scalability.

· Stay ahead of travel trends (e.g., NDC content, sustainable travel tracking, AI-driven personalization).

White Label & Multi-Tenancy Management

· Own the "Configuration Engine" that allows customers to manage their own branding, markups, payment gateways, and business rules.

· Ensure a seamless "Tenant Onboarding" experience, reducing the time-to-market for new global partners.

· Manage the balance between a standard core product and the flexibility for custom UI/UX via APIs or CSS overrides.

Travel Inventory & Integration

· Oversee integrations with GDS (Amadeus, Sabre), aggregators, and direct suppliers for Flights, Hotels, Cars, and Insurance.

· Optimize the "Search to Book" funnel to ensure high performance, accuracy of real-time pricing, and low latency across global regions.

Stakeholder & Customer Success

· Act as the technical point of contact for high-value global B2B clients during discovery and implementation.

· Work closely with Sales and Account Management to understand market gaps and regional requirements (e.g., specific payment methods in EMEA vs. APAC).

Technical Leadership

· Collaborate with Engineering to maintain a robust API documentation set for clients building their own front-ends.

· Define and track North Star metrics: Conversion Rate (Book-to-Look), System Uptime, and Speed-to-Market for new tenants.

Required Skills & Qualifications

· Experience: 5+ years in Product Management, specifically within Travel Tech (OTA, GDS, or Booking Engines).

· Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of travel distribution, including IATA regulations, PCI compliance, and settlement processes (BSP/ARC).

· Technical Proficiency: Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and cloud-based SaaS architecture. Familiarity with JavaScript/Frontend frameworks is a plus for UI customization discussions.

· Global Mindset: Proven ability to manage products that handle multi-currency, complex tax structures (VAT/GST), and localized content.

· Analytical Mind: Strong data-driven approach using tools like Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or SQL to identify friction points in the booking flow.

· Bilingual in English

Personal Attributes

· Fixer mindset—practical, resourceful, and relentless.

· Customer-obsessed and committed to high-quality experiences.

· High sense of ownership and accountability.

· Strong communicator who can drive clarity and alignment.

· Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

· Ability to balance customer needs with business goals.

· Strong problem-solving mindset and bias for action.

· Fluency in English is a must as this position will be coordinating with stake holders across North America.

Nice to Have Experience

· Experience with Loyalty/Rewards integration within a booking flow.

· Understanding of Corporate Travel (SBT) vs. Leisure Travel workflows.

· Experience with Agile/Scrum in a remote, global environment.
