Senior Backend Engineer

A fast-growing, AI-driven SaaS company operating in the network management and IT infrastructure space, is looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join it's team.

The Role:

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help design and build our high-throughput, low-latency processing infrastructure. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the core systems that power our platform, working on complex technical challenges at scale.

We are looking for someone who thrives on solving complex, large-scale system challenges.

This is not a maintenance role. You will be building high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems that process massive volumes of data in real time. You’ll work alongside strong engineers and be expected to operate at a high technical bar from day one.

What You’ll Do:

• Design and build scalable, distributed microservices from the ground up
• Own critical components end-to-endת from architecture to production
• Write clean, efficient, production-grade code with a strong focus on performance
• Tackle hard problems in concurrency, data processing, and system reliability
• Push the system to its limits and redesign it when it breaks
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering to deliver impactful features
• Continuously raise the engineering bar through code and design reviews

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on backend development experience
• Strong expertise in Java (Spring / Spring Boot), with Strong advantage for experience with Python and/or Node.js as well
• Experience working in the communication networks field - big advantage
• Proven experience building high-scale, distributed systems
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production
• Strong experience working in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL)

Advantage:

• Data Science Background (work/school)
• Experience with Kafka, Redis, ActiveMQ, or similar systems
• Background in data-intensive systems, streaming, or real-time processing
• Experience with Apache Flink, Spark, or similar frameworks
• Familiarity with Machine Learning systems or pipelines
