Software Development Engineer (Contract)

Location: Dublin (Onsite)

Salary: €55k - €80k

Duration: 12-month contract (high likelihood of extension)

We’re partnering with a global technology leader to hire a Software Development Engineer II to join a high-impact international team working on next-generation AI-powered voice assistant technology.


This team is responsible for expanding intelligent assistant capabilities across global markets — enabling real-world actions like booking rides, reserving restaurants, and ordering food through cutting-edge conversational AI.

🛠️ What You’ll Be Doing

  • Design and build scalable API integrations with third-party (3P) services
  • Develop and maintain microservices in a distributed cloud environment
  • Work on high-throughput, real-time systems powering AI-driven experiences
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple regions
  • Contribute end-to-end — from design through to deployment of customer-facing features
  • Help expand intelligent assistant capabilities across international markets

✅ What They’re Looking For

  • Strong experience in API development & integration
  • Solid background in microservices architecture
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)
  • Proven ability to build scalable, high-performance systems
  • Experience with real-time data processing
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment

Nice to Have:

  • Strong coding experience in Java
  • Exposure to AI / Machine Learning / Generative AI environments
