Tech Lead Test Automation - Brussels, Belgium (F/M)

As part of an IT transformation program within a major telecom player in Belgium, we are looking for a Tech Lead specialized in test automation. You will work in a complex environment characterized by:

• a historically offshore-oriented organization
• a strategic effort to strengthen local teams
• challenges related to stabilization and improving the quality of automation processes

Mission Objectives

• Stabilize and industrialize test automation
• Provide technical leadership to QA teams
• Reduce technical debt (ongoing refactoring)
• Improve the overall quality of deliverables

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the test automation strategy
• Design, implement, and maintain automation frameworks
• Lead and coach QA teams (both local and offshore)
• Ensure the quality of automated tests (robustness, maintainability)
• Participate in QA tooling and architecture decisions
• Collaborate with Development, DevOps, and business teams
• Monitor quality KPIs and provide structured reporting

Technical Environment

• CRM tools / digital ecosystem
• Automation: Selenium or equivalent
• RPA: market tools (e.g., UiPath or equivalent)
• Methodology: Agile / Scrum
• Architecture: microservices, with a significant refactoring context

Technical Skills

• Significant experience (5–8+ years) in test automation
• Strong proficiency in Selenium or equivalent tools
• Good knowledge of test frameworks (JUnit, TestNG, etc.)
• Solid experience in API testing
• Experience in designing automation frameworks and defining automation strategies
• Good understanding of Agile environments

• Experience in QA team leadership and coaching
• Ability to structure and mature a QA team
• Excellent communication skills

• Experience in telecom or large enterprise environments
• Experience in offshore delivery contexts
• Knowledge of CRM ecosystems
• Professional English required
• French or Dutch preferred
